THE MEANING OF THE ESSENCE CYCLE NUMBERS continued.
Essence
This is a period of much self-reflection, analysis, and inner growth. The journey now is inward. You will feel a need to spend more time alone to contemplate your life and those close to you. The questions that pursue you are the fundamental ones of life: Who am I? What I am doing? Why am I doing it?
Your environment or milieu will seem more aggressive than during previous years. This is more a function of your heightened sensitivity and intuition. This will naturally drive you deeper within yourself, causing you to ferret out the important issues that have directed your life to this point.
In order to deal effectively with those around you - especially family members and co-workers - you will have to refine your expression in all respects. Don't push people too hard, lest you damage close friendships unnecessarily. This is not a time for being extroverted or aggressive. This is a time of introversion and deeper self- understanding. Be gentle with yourself and those around you. Think carefully before making important decisions. Be cautious when making major changes.
It is a wonderful time to study and to specialize in one particular field. Your ability to think deeply and clearly is at an all-time high. Indeed, your mind is your best tool. You are attracted to the great books, new realms of study, and higher learning. You have the ability to focus and concentrate. You can penetrate below the surface of subjects, to see the inner workings of yourself, others, and life around you.
Avoid becoming cynical and skeptical. Don't be too intellectual, lest you leave your heart behind. This is a time of deep spiritual and psychological integration. The head and the heart should be working together, not opposing each other.
You will likely discover what you most enjoy doing now. Follow these urges; study areas that you have long neglected but wanted to pursue. The inner-self guides you during this time. Listen carefully to its advice.
Essence
This is a period when business and career affairs dominate your agenda. A major new opportunity will unfold to you and you will have to give yourself to it entirely to make it work. It is a time of progress and much personal power, but the demands of the time are equally large, thus requiring careful planning and attention to detail.
All business matters - including personal economies - will come under sharp scrutiny. You will likely have more money than during previous years, but, conversely, you must be more careful with it.
A new start can be made. You sense the need to grasp it. But you also are aware that it must be treated with great care. Therefore, be astute in all your business dealings. Major mistakes can be made if you are not careful, and they can affect you for some years to come. It a time of cautious use of power. You are being asked to develop wisdom in all your dealings.
Balance - in areas from your mundane affairs to your eminently important relationships - is the key to your success. Keep a tight control on your bookkeeping, while providing strong leadership and gentle guidance to your family or close associates.
It is also a time when old issues - especially debts from the past - surface with a vengeance, making it necessary to pay the piper before further progress can be made. The irony is that while you have greater resources, there are often equally large demands made of you.
This is a time, too, when you will realize that you are a survivor. No matter what difficulties you have experienced in the past, this is a period when you can regain a sense of progress in career matters. You will feel that you are doing important work, and will be richly rewarded for it.
Essence
This is a period during which your ideals will be tested and forged anew. You will be broadened in ways that you would never have dreamed possible. You will likely experience a dramatic psychological and spiritual expansion. Old relationships that no longer have a place in your life will be let go of. Even old habits or characteristics that you believed were fundamental to your identity seem to evaporate.
There is a need to forgive those in your past and let them get on with their lives, as you must with yours. Hanging on to negative attachments, either out of anger or a sense that justice has not yet been done, will bring you much misery and, if the courts are involved, protracted lawsuits.
You now have the ability to reach out to the masses. This is a time requiring much self-sacrifice and service to others. You are deeply affected by the pain and sufferings of others, and will feel a need to change your milieu or society for the better.
Those in the arts, especially actors, writers, and other performers, will see an enhancement of their talents and the opening of many new opportunities for advancement.
Your focus is outward in a big way. Teach, perform, and advance society in your own way. Dedicate yourself to a higher cause. These are the areas that will meet with much success.
Conversely, selfishness, negativity, and pettiness will blow up in your face. The time demands a broad view of life. You are now the visionary, who must see the greater trends in humanity.
Out of this will come much compassion for all. This is the lesson of the period: That as you work for the greater good of society, you will be personally rewarded, so much so that your cup will runneth over.
Essence
This is a time of enormous sensitivity and equally enormous change. Your intuition is galvanized. You are capable of even psychic experiences. But your awareness of the higher realms serves to throw a light upon all that is low and unenlightened in your own life. The contrast can be shocking.
You are all-too aware of your shortcomings as a human being. This can drive you more deeply inward. You are extremely self-conscious. There may be feelings of failure and self-recrimination. These must be kept under control.
All of this stems from an element of shock present in your life. The very ground upon which your personality is based seems to have experienced an upheaval. This psychic quake can often be replicated by some event in your life. Consequently, your identity is shaken.
It is a time to search yourself. Are you happy with what you are doing? Is your work directly in line with your higher values and talents? This is a period of self-review in which you will have a great opportunity to set your life upon a more deeply spiritual and lasting foundation.
Consequently, you can make much progress and experience a great deal of future happiness as a result of this period. There is a realignment occurring that is putting you in touch with your deeper nature. The inner and the outer are now becoming one. It is a period of quickened psychological and spiritual growth.
Your intuition now will guide you safely from the storm. While your emotional life may be turbulent, your intuition gives you a sense that you are on the right track. In fact, you have not lost direction, but taken a quantum leap along your path. It can be a bit jarring, but altogether positive.
Meditate, pray, seek out harmonious settings, take walks in the woods, and be close to nature. Let the inner self guide you to a greater happiness.
There can be many wonderful inner and even psychic experiences that reassure you of the love and support coming to you from the universe itself. It is a time of illumination on all levels. Make the most of it. Allow the higher forces to guide your rapid growth.
Essence
There are edifices of thoughts and behavior patterns that keep us from experiencing our true natures and the deeper happiness within. By some great benevolence of the universe, these edifices collapse from time to time. You are now in one of those benevolent periods.
This is the proverbial dark night of the soul. You will find many things not working out as you had planned. There can be many unexpected, turbulent, and shocking events. There are debts to be paid that may seem unduly harsh or imbalanced. The time is confusing and you may feel that you have lost direction entirely.
Your challenge is to surrender to the larger forces that now seem so threatening. Let the transformative powers redirect you. This is the surest path out of the confusion that now dominates your life.
The 16 Essence is very like a storm that seems, on the surface, to be knocking down buildings, but is in fact rearranging your life so that you emerge healthier and happier than before.
The 16 Essence usually does not last long. You will find yourself on much sounder footing and in much better circumstances once it passes. You are experiencing the night that will surely bring the dawn. With it will come a new life.
Part of the lesson you are learning is gratitude. Take time to truly examine everything that has been given to you. You are overlooking the love in your life, the talents you have been given, the good things that have been added to your life without your acknowledgement. There is something of a blind spot in you that has brought about the current period of confusion. Now is a time to self-reflect and to truly take stock of your life. Gratitude is one of the keys to a healthy transformation. Offer thanks to the Universe for all that has been provided you.
This is an act of true magnanimity because you likely feel that you have been treated unjustly by the greater forces. But such thinking is a delusion that has blinded you to your true nature and destiny. Open your heart. Accept that your vision is not of the infinite, but of the relative world. Accept that the infinite is guiding you lovingly and toward higher planes of consciousness. Surrender to the greater forces. This will cause you to open up to the higher planes and allow them to guide.
Now is a time to develop faith. The power of faith can help you feel secure in the midst of change. Faith allows you to feel that you are heading in a good direction, even when you do not know what that direction is. Faith is the key to your happiness now.
Meditate, pray, do regular spiritual practices. Take care of your health with sound diet and exercise programs. Try to eliminate all unhealthy attitudes and practices. Live a more enlightened inner life. Trust.
Essence
You are in a struggle for independence and possessed by personal ambition. You will feel the need to work hard to establish yourself and your foundation. You are forward looking and even visionary, but for personal gain.
This is a period of struggle. It is a time when you may feel torn between your personal desires and your concerns for others. It can be a time marked by stubbornness and rigidity, characteristics you will have to keep in check.
This duality between the lower desires and the higher realms of love can cause you much internal conflict. Secretly, you may feel torn between a desire to serve some greater good, and your ambition for personal accomplishment. You are aware of the needs of others. At the same time you are skeptical of ideals and idealists. You may tell yourself now that you must be realistic in your dealings with the world. But you must avoid shutting out the voice of your higher nature. Do not let your higher ideals go, lest you be guided exclusively by materialism and greed.
All too often, those in the 19 Essence finally resolve this conflict by conceding to personal ambition and selfishness. This can lead you to much trouble. People may perceive you as greedy and self-centered. Because you are driven by ambition, you may be attracted to people who have no other priority but personal gain. For some, this will lead to shady business practices and even brushes with the law.
This can be a time when you feel a need to pull back from others and become less social than during previous years. But this can lead to isolation. You may also feel frustrated because your ambitions want instant gratification, which the time does not allow.
The challenge during this time is to strike a balance between your worldly needs and your inner spiritual nature. The time requires much soul searching and a willingness to accept the perspective of others. Don't shut yourself off, or become jaundiced to your more idealistic brethren.
At the conclusion of the 19 Essence, the person is often better off materially, and far more independent, but there may also be a sense of disconnectedness from friends and loved ones. Therefore, it is important to work at maintaining close ties. Be open to others, and recognize that "man does not live by bread alone."
Essence
This is a period of enormous demands and, consequently, the chance to achieve greatness. You will find yourself at the center of some larger movement or social cause. Power has come to you, but you will need every ounce of strength to accomplish the task that lies before you.
You now serve some greater social good. Selfishness, pettiness, and timidity will cause you much trouble. They are antagonistic to everything that you have set your sights on.
Now is a time to build some great and lasting edifice. That edifice may be physical - a building or a business, for example - or it may be social
-- advancing a truly worthy social cause. Whatever it is, it has come to you from a higher plane, or what might be termed the archetypal world.
You will see this truth everywhere you look. Practically speaking, people's well-being -- their livelihoods or general attitudes - rests in a large measure with what you do. People naturally look to you for leadership and inspiration. Your vision is truly wide and distant in scope. Your actions have dramatic effects. Therefore, you are more cautious and responsible with what you do.
This can be a sensitive period. You are being asked to live according to higher ideals. Your values must be above reproach. Avoid disagreements; be magnanimous and patient with others. Take the slower, sure path toward problem solving. Get sufficient rest and take care of your own personal needs. Be balanced in your activities. Avoid excessive work.
Pay attention to detail without losing your vision of your longer term priorities. You are now building a foundation for something that will serve a greater social good. Think big and take practical steps to ensure that your dreams become reality.
